Ocean Marina 25/11

Yesterday we had lots of sun and bath.  29 degrees in the air and 28 in the water. We are starting to get colour but we are very careful with the sun. My nose has got a very nice red colour but that perhaps depends on all beer I drink.

Yesterday it was a celebration of Loy Krathong, a Thai, Buda celebration that occurs at full moon in November. In the evening you set small round, very artistic kratongs made of bananas blades and dried  powder of some kind and equipped with candles. The thought is that you in this kratongs lay down your bad feelings and aggressions and let them float away so that you get rid of them and so that the fishes gets a good meal. We were invited to a Loy Krathong party at Ingrid and Marc (our landlords), who lives in a 'Condo', Golden Sands, at the beach one mile north of us. We were picked up of Anna’s chauffeur around 4 a clock met a lot of very nice people at the party. All of Anna´s family was there. For you that not remember, Anna is Ulla’s friend, who lives here in  Thailand and has fixed the connection to Ingrid so we can rent her apartment at Ocean Marina..

It was a very nice party with lots of drinks and good barbeque. Friends of Ingrid’s  from different nations brought things from theirs countries. Many of them work in GM together with Marc or lives in Golden Sands. During the evening we tried to set of the typical Thailand balloons. Of 50 balloons we only succeeded to get 5 -8 flying. Near mid night Ulla and I walked our way home to Ocean Marina along the beach in the moon light.
